To start let’s have a clear understanding of the meaning of belief.
A belief is:
1: a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing
- her belief in God
- a belief in democracy
- I bought the table in the belief that it was an antique.
- contrary to popular belief
2: something that is accepted, considered to be true, or held as an opinion: something believed
- an individual’s religious or political beliefs; especially: a tenet or body of tenets held by a group
- the beliefs of the Catholic Church
3: conviction of the truth of some statement or the reality of some being or phenomenon especially when based on examination of evidence
- belief in the validity of scientific statements
Beliefs are what create our reality and the lives we live. From the moment we are born we are evaluating the world around us. Our parents are our first teachers and usually, pass their beliefs onto us. Many times these beliefs are created without us being aware that we’re doing it. Doesn’t that sound crazy??
We are creating beliefs and yet unaware that it’s happening or how it impacts our lives?!
Think of a radio. When set to a station the radio receives everything on that frequency. Our brains operate similarly. What we think about we bring about. Don’t believe me, let’s have some fun…
Think of something you would like to show up in your day — the first parking spot at the mall, your favorite song or a symbol with personal meaning. Now, repeat to yourself what you are manifesting on a daily basis. For example; “I always get front row parking”, “when I turn on the radio I hear my favorite song” or “when my angels are nearby I see feathers.” Keeping in mind, it’s crucial to have nonattachment to the outcome, avoid manifesting money…for now. Sit back and see what happens. Many are pleasantly surprised by the results they get.
What does it mean if I’m unable to manifest?
Is there something you would like to create in your life? Have you been working on a promotion, finding a partner or finding your life’s purpose with little or no results? Its possible there may be a limiting belief or block keeping you from your desire. When this happens, it is necessary to do belief work to clear the block in order to move forward.
What is belief work?
Belief work is when a ThetaHealing practitioner uses a method called digging to identify the root cause of a block or limiting belief. To a client, this may appear as a conversation. Once the limiting belief is identified the healer and client work together on removing the block and replacing it with a beneficial belief. In other words, the client determines what changes are made while the healer holds space and uses the ThetaHealing technique to create the desired change.
